How To Play Super Fun 21Internet Super Fun 21Super Fun 21 is a variation of regular blackjack and can be found in most casinos in Las Vegas and on the Internet. Super Fun 21 is a single deck game that plays basically the same as regular blackjack but there are several different rule changes that set it apart. The object of the game is still to get as close to 21 without going over while trying to get a higher hand than the dealer. All the cards have the same value as regular blackjack with face cards worth 10 and number cards worth their number value. Aces are soft and worth either 1 or 11. The game starts out with the player making an initial wager before any cards are dealt. They are then dealt two cards face up and the dealer is dealt two cards, one face up and the other face down. If a player busts over 21, the dealer wins. If the dealer busts over 21 and the player has not, the player wins. Super Fun 21 RulesThere are some rule variations with Super Fun 21. As mentioned, it is usually played with a single deck but some casinos use two decks. The dealer will always hit on a soft 17. If a player gets a hand of six or more cards that equal 20 in value, then they automatically win unless they doubled. A six card hand even wins if the dealer has a blackjack. However, if a player gets a hand totaling 21 and is made up of five or more cards, then the payout is 2:1 unless they doubled. Players may double down on any number of cards. If a player gets a natural blackjack it always wins, even if the dealer has a blackjack. The payout for a natural blackjack is even money, unlike the 3:2 ratio in a regular blackjack game. However, a blackjack in Diamonds pays 2:1. Super Fun 21 OddsIf you calculate the odds, it shows a player can expect to be paid even money in 15 out of 16 blackjacks. When the player gets two initial cards of the same value, they may split up to four times into separate hands. Aces may also be split. Surrender is allowed in Super Fun 21 and the player may even late surrender on any number of cards even after hitting, splitting, or doubling down. Insurance is allowed if the dealer’s up card is an ace and the player believes the hole card is a ten value. The payout for insurance is the standard 2:1. Of course, if the player has bought insurance and the dealer does not have blackjack, the player loses their insurance bet. Super Fun 21 House EdgeThe game Super Fun 21 is protected by a U.S. patent and cannot legally be called blackjack in the state of Nevada. The house edge for Super Fun 21 is about 1.16% due to the dealer hitting on a soft 17 and blackjack payout as even money. If the casino uses two decks instead of one, the house edge is around 1.30%. With such odds, Super Fun 21 is better suited for recreational players. Serious blackjack players might be better suited trying their luck at another game that has a higher payout. See also: |
