I wrote an article here not long ago about Yahoo blackjack, so it's only fair that I also put together an article about "free AOL blackjack". AOL isn't like Yahoo in some respects, but it's very like Yahoo in other respects. Yahoo is thought of as a search engine, a directory, and a content channel. But AOL is thought of mostly as an Internet service provider first, a content provider second, and a search engine only peripherally. In fact, AOL uses Google to power their search engine.

AOL Blackjack

Free AOL Blackjack Games The standard blackjack game at AOL is available in a single player and multiplayer version. The game offers standard "Las Vegas" blackjack rules and is dealt from a six deck shoe. You can't count cards playing AOL Blackjack, or any of the variations below, really, because it doesn't really matter. The deck gets shuffled every hand.

AOL Blackjack Carnival

AOL's Blackjack Carnival game is similar to their standard blackjack game, but it offers higher stakes (play-money still though) and optional side bets which aren't available in their standard blackjack game.

AOL Casino Island Blackjack

Casino Island Blackjack is a multiplayer online blackjack game which offers bonus "powerups" every time you get a 21.

AOL Catch 21

Catch 21 is one of my favorite games at AOL. It's a combination of blackjack (21) and solitaire. The idea is to go through the deck as quickly as you can creating totals of 21. AOL Catch 21 is addictive.

AOL Challenge 21

AOL offers daily blackjack tournaments for free. These tournaments are called "Challenge 21" tournaments. These tournaments aren't as cool as the blackjack tournaments available at Ultimate Bet, for example, because they don't offer a real money option. But if you're competitive and broke, AOL Challenge 21 might be just the ticket for you.

AOL Spanish 21

This variant of blackjack is similar to other versions. AOL Spanish 21 uses "Spanish" decks and have the 10's removed. (They're 48 card decks.) All 21's win. Did you know that in Australia and in some Asian countries, what we know as "Spanish 21" is called "Pontoon"? Which is confusing, since "Pontoon" is what the British call their own distinct version of the game of 21.

AOL Turbo 21

AOL's Turbo 21 is pretty similar to Catch 21. It's a solitaire game with a blackjack theme. Like Catch 21, the game is pretty addictive. It's a nice break from regular blackjack games, and it's hypnotizing.

Free AOL Blackjack and GSN

At one time, AOL had a pretty serious association with GSN and the World Series of Blackjack, but it looks like interest has died down quite a bit regarding the World Series of Blackjack. But a couple of years ago you could even win your way onto the tv show by playing the free blackjack games available at AOL.
